As stated above by respondents, there should be logical reason for weaning off from beta blockers, if the symptoms have settled down, and you want to weaned off is the only logical but still a maintainance dose will have to be maintained of at least 25mg/day will be required. If the pathology is still there I don't see any logical reason to be weaned off as symptoms and pathology hit back with aggression.
Better talk to your doctor before thinking of weaning off.

Never, never, never stop a beta blocker suddenly. The effects are your heart can be devastating, even lethal. You have to wean off of a beta blocker. Start by taking it every other day x4 days and then every third day x2 cycles and then you can stop. Call you Doctor if you develop chest pain, pressure, difficulty breathing, palpitations, weight/water gain. Best of luck!

First of all you should have a very logical reason as to why were you placed on beta blockers, was it a pathology or symptoms of pathology.
I don't understand why you put up this question, kindly give more details.

My doctor took me off of mine cold turkey. Didn't notice a difference. Your blood pressure might go up, and I had a few weird heart things (like palpatations) but other than that things are back to normal now. I don't think you will notice it much.

I couldn't get off mine cold turkey, I gradually reduced the dosage over several weeks. my symptoms were angina, if you don't have angina or pain then you probably could go cold turkey.
