I used to have red bumps in the back of my throat... for me it turned out to be a constant sinus infection... warning this is gross.... The infected grossness would be going down the back of my throat. Once I got that fixed I haven't had the bumps anymore.

Put just a little hydrocortisone cream on it and see if it goes away. You can get it over the counter at any pharmacy. Since you don't know what it is, using hydrocortisone is a good start.

I had this happen to me. It was acute sinusitis, basically a sinus infection. Go to the doctor first to make sure that is, in fact, a sinus infection. It should go away with some anti-biotics and/or water.

Does sound like oral herpes. This is becoming more common in the general population and the explosion in oral sex.

well, that is the sign of certian std's, so if it doesn't go away, go get checked out by a doc. and idk if it would be strep throat, 'cause that hurts!
