I loved milk but I can't drink it for 2 reasons. 1 being it makes me sick, 2 being that I'm a vegan now. So I'm looking for something that taste as close to milk as possible. Thanks

I like 'rice milk'

it tastes like low fat milk but better. Real milk has a sour taste to it. (even freshly milked milk as a slight acidic and stagnant tinge to it. if it wasn't for the lactose (sugar) I doubt anyone would drink it)

I'm not a fan of soy milk

I attempt to avoid large amounts of soy since I'm male though - it is bad for brain chemistry, as well as hormone levels. (soy normally isn't digestable, and takes huge ammounts of processing and enrichment to be a viable food source.)

also I had really good 'almond milk' very tastey.. chocolate and strawberry rice milk and vanilla almond milk - very tastey.. the almond is definately the best I've had so far.

it tastes SOOO much better than milk.

the rice milk I didn't feel 100% ok with drinking it regularly because of the cane sugar content (I felt like I was getting too much sugar from it)

also heated chocolate rice milk tastes like a rich hot chocolate really good

I'll just list the different types so that you can experiment:
hemp, oat, almond, hazelnut, soy, and rice. Hazelnut and hemp milks have a thicker texture to them. I think that almond milk by itself taste the best. Soymilk is ok. I prefer soymilk with green tea steeped in it. I use rice milk most of the time because where I live it cost the least. I pour it in cereal. It taste pretty good but is it not as tasty as hazelnut or almond milk. But those two are expensive.

I like silk soy milk, though if you're drinking it plain it takes a while to get used to. In cereal and things like that it tastes pretty much the same.

Silk also has chocolate soy milk, which I think tastes even better than chocolate cow's milk.

First of all, a non-dairy product cannot be called milk, although generally it is a done thing. Try Vegitable Fat Filled Evaporated Milk or UHT Milk, if available in your country. Alternatively, try Soya Milk. But, if you love your cup of tea with milk, than nothing like a proper cup of tea with dairy milk. I would rather switch to tea without milk (black tea) or green tea, than drink tea with non-dairy milk. Green tea is a more healthier option too. You would get addicted to it, once you acquire taste for it.

Soy milk is by far the best. I will tell you nothing tastes like milk. It's a matter of what sub tastes the best.

Trader Joe's has AWESOME store brand non-dairy milks (soy, rice, almond) that are pretty cheap and so you can try the different ones and see what you like. I love soy milk and rice milk, but I like to cook with almond milk!
