I am not sure I understand what you mean by dg? That is not a medical abbreviation that is standard nor is it something I have seen used.

30 is 1.5 x 20 so 1.5 x 2 units would be 3 units
a safe option would be just 2 units , and retest at a suitable interval.
dont use this as advice if you are actually treating a patient. Contact the Doctor and ask for assistance.

insulin will in no way raise blood sugar levels. average blood sugar of 200 is not as terrible as a higher average, however, she is still at risk for long term complications. you need to discuss with your mother and her doctor about adding a little more insulin to correct those highs. she may also need a long acting insulin. is your mother a type 1 or type 2?

The answer to the homework question is 3 units. I also don't know what dg is. Ask your teacher if this is a realistic order it wouldn't work for me.

3 units.
you can make a point to say in your homework that you can give half units if you use syringes and if you use a pen some pens have 1/2 markings too. If you needed to break it down farther.

If you don't know what you are doing, don't do anything! Find someone that knows! Call the doctor and ask this question.
