shish kebabs fit easily on the hook on cap'n's hand. certainly "cap'n crunch" would be an appropriate breakfast cereal. "chips ahoy" cookies for dessert, perhaps?

sea salt for everything.

at the end of the evening, a bottle of bacardi to put blackbeard to bed. crackers for the parrot. now that they're taken care of, we can pilfer the loot!

ugh, just remembered. did someone bring the sea sickness remedy?

Hello my friend,
Oh what fun, I’m glad I can come. I shall bring: chicken drumsticks, seaweed pasta, octopus, veggie palm trees (cut up veg served on a platter with a dip), an ocean with sunken treasures (jelly with fruit in) red rubies (strawberries and cherries) treasure salad (cranberries and canon ball grapes with salad) golden nuggets (chicken nuggets), shipwreck cake (someone else can bake it as I’m not a very good cook!) and plenty swashbuckling treats.
Can we play pirate games too? – How about Pirate Tag or a Treasure Hunt.
I shall leave the drinks to you!!!
Polly

Seeing its for Pirates better make it some nice marinated Chicken drumsticks they can just pick up in their fingers & toss in a fork so they can eat some tossed salad (all tossed in together foods with a nice mayo & dressing on top) of tomato lettuce cucumber capsaicim onion & i even toss in broccoli etc & have a few hard boiled eggs or curried eggs & potato salad as well that should satisify a hungry lot of pirates :)☺♥

I just recently heard of spearing a wooden skewer through small pieces of paper to make sails. You can just bring the sails along and some hot dogs to grill up. After the hot dogs are done, stick the sail in the middle of hot dog and serve with a few Goldfish crackers.

Any pirate that would have a picnic is a pirate of a different sort....that said, A picnic with that theme would require two things:

rum (or grog) and cooked bean slop.

I say rum by the barrel, with some dainty finger sandwiches. That should get them nice and riled, and there is no entertainment like a bunch of dueling pirates, be they man or wench.

Champagne or red wine in specially re-labeled bottle with SKULL & CROSSED BONES on it. That would match the theme...Plus, rolled sandwiches binded with 1-eye-piece rubber band. That would be cool!!!

(Am I not invited to that picnic?)
