Looks like you are starting from the ' no experience ' area. This would be a good place to start. http://perfectbabyshower.com/
This would be a site for games:
http://www.partydirectory.com/games/babshowg.htm
This site has incredible cake ideas for the shower ( you have to sign up at no cost )
http://cakecentral.com
After you have looked at these suggestions, do a web search on your own. There is so much out there.....you will be amazed !!!

Decor: fresh flowers of the season with burgundies in abundance allowing for pink hues. If you have the money, professionally designed arrangements. If not, bunches are readily available in grocery and discount department stores. Place them in containers you have on hand...vases, tea cups, glasses, it really doesn't matter. Just strategically place them in the bathroom, on end tables, and furniture you will use for serving food or storing unopened gifts.

Food: Brunch is an easy time of day. People don't want to eat that munch and recipes abound for quiche, stacked biscuits, glorified grits, etc... You won't have to serve alcohol at this time of day unless it is Bloody Mary's or a champagne concoction. Fruit and a baked cheese like brie or pastry crusted havarti can round out your menu.

Gift: something in the middle range of her gift registry if giving it alone or in the high range if you have partners.

Games/Prizes: Guessing games about the mother-to-be are fun. Ideas for questions: current weight, circumference of waist, food cravings, weight gain of husband/father...

Pass around a pink ribbon from an unwrapped gift and ask guest to tie a knot in it as they give one piece of advice about being a mother. Be sure to include any children in attendance. Their answers can be quite enlightening and funny!

Prizes: Something you would like to win that is not too costly.

i planned one for my aunt and the theme was "rubber duckie" soooo the plates, napkins, etc. all had baby ducks on them. i included in the invitation that everyone should bring a wrapped package of diapers so i took them and stacked them all in one corner of the room so it looked like blocks. everyone got a small rubber duckie at their place setting as their favor, the centerpiece was a shallow round metal pan filled with water and one big duck floating in there. one game we played (and was the hit of the party) was where we took baby bottles and filled them with beer and there was a "chugging/sucking" contest! it was hilarious -especially since it was a coed shower- good luck!
