Im a male, 33 yrs old, type 2 diabetic.

I very rarely run "high", I closesly monitor my sugar/carb intake.

However, Im wondering how low can it go before it can cause trouble, and what side effects of running low will I experience?

Im not trying to run low, my eating habits tend to go lower. I will have some granola during the course of the day, but I really have to watch my carb intake.

I was just wanting to know what is safe, and what is not.

70 to 80 is a fairly safe low range. I was 80 Sunday, after working in the yard, and felt very energetic. I've been as low as 70 and felt a little jittery, but otherwise, fine. Mostly, it depends on the individual and what they're used to. People who consistently run high, might start getting symptoms of hypoglycemia if they get down into the 70s.

In my case, I get "goofy" and begin to think poorly when I get below 70. My doctors say I am not allowed to drive below 70.

I told my boss at work to ask me my phone number if he thinks I am getting too low. I cannot string numbers together properly below 70.

I am just over 50 years old, and was well controlled until recently. They changed my medications, and I sometimes dip WAY low for no apparent reason. I have been as low as 50 at the office, but only a couple of times.

Usually I run a little "high", like in the 150's. Even when I am on a weight loss diet, by the way. I have lost 60 lbs. so far, but then even at 1100 calories a day, I started to gain weight, thus the new meds..... I have now dropped 8 of the 12 pounds I gained, but my control is still up and down.....

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

It differs for every person. It really depends on what your sugar usually runs. One person with a blood glucose of 60 may feel great, while the other person with the same number is feeling horrible. If you start losing energy, feeling faint, nauseous, dizzy, sweating, or are feeling confused, then your sugar may be too low. For most, anything below 70 is too low. If you experience these symptoms check your sugar and eat something with around 15mg of sugar in it.

Why are you trying to get it to run low? You should be maintaining a blood glucose level between 70 (fasting) and 110 (after meals). Some symptoms of low blood sugar are irritability, hunger, headache, sweats, shakes, confusion, seizures, coma and death.

That is a discussion you need to have with your doctor, because each case is different, and your low or high may not be someone else. Your physician is the one who is best equipped to answer any questions you may have concerning your health.

This is a question for your doctor. He may have a specific number that he doesn't want you to drop below for whatever reason. He knows your health best and that is who you should ask and listen to.
