I saw this on tv, and it looks like a good idea to get natual light in my walk-in closet.

This room is upstairs and I believe has attic crawl space since the "his" closet next to mine has the access door to it.
If it's less than $500 for the tube and professional installation, that would be what I'm hoping for.

You watch Living with Ed, too?! I love that show! Anyway, you can check out the show's website which gives lots of info about all kinds of eco friendly stuff. The website for the company that they got their solar lighting from is www.solatube.com. So there's a good place to start looking...

I have heard numbers like $200 or so. It would depend on your exact situation though. It would be way more for a downstairs closet in a 2 story house with no place to rout the tube to the roof without going through the middle of an upstairs room for example.

I think you can totally do it for less than $500. The tubes themselves come in varying price and size ranges and just for a closet you would need the smallest one.
*** Oh and BTW, just because one has a WIC doesn't mean they're rich. I have one in our TINY 1300 sq ft apt. It can be done. ;) Our previous home was over 4000 sq ft and my closet was like a small bedroom and I didn't even come close to filling it...
You'll LOVE having your closet lit up like that. It'll open up all new possibilities for the rest of your home too.

It would work. Cost would depend on how much work it is to install. Then with a walk in closet , is money a big issue :)
