There is nothing really harmful (to your own health) about drinking either organic cow's milk or soy milk, provided you have no allergy or sensitivity to it. Personally, I don't think anyone really needs to drink three glasses a day of any kind of milk; it's just added calories. You should be fine having some on your cereal though. If you're really concerned about it, try rice milk but I think it has fewer nutrients than soy milk.

The myths about soy milk where put out by the American dairy association and there is little to no fact in what they say and nothing has been tested or proved. So long as soy, like any food, is consumed in moderation it is entirely safe and extremely healthy. Milk however is a laxative and contains high amounts of lactose which can only be broken down by lactase in which our body does not contain enough traces of to fully break down milk which results in diarrhea or loose stool that can lead to dehydration. If you have an allergy to soy milk you can try rice or almond milk which have less nutritional value but are still very healthy and safe.

Who says soy milk isn't safe?
There's also rice milk, almond milk and hemp milk too.
I use yogurt in my cereal. You have to read the back though to make sure you don't get the type that has gelatin.
Also, cow's milk is one of those things that a million different health ideas disagree with. Sites like notmilk.com and milksucks.com link cow's milk to a variety of diseases and promotes obesity, then you go to a site like whymilk.com says 3 glasses of low-fat milk can keep you at a healthy rate.
I'd take the middle road. Drink cow's milk in moderation if you want to keep drinking it. Growth hormones injected into cows that produce milk is obviously bad, so maybe organic milk. If you want to just replace it and soy, hemp, rice and almond milk are some alternatives.

I drink Rice Milk. It's fortefied with vitamins and minerals, such as Vitamin D and calcium...so I'm really not 'missing' anything from real dairy products. You might want to talk to your child's pediatrician or a nutritionist just be on the safe side.
Personally, I'd steer (no pun intended!) clear of cow's milk. Like the one gentleman said, it has puss in it as well as a host of other microorganisms that can make us sick. I recently read an article that stated 17 states in the US consistently produce milk that COULD NOT be sold in Europe b/c of its quality and cleanliness (or lack thereof).
I've never heard from a reputable soruce that soy milk is unsafe. I've heard those studies before but they were funded by (hold onto your trousers!) the dairy industry. Big surprise there! I used to drink soy milk a lot....I needed a switch and tried rice milk and I just fell in love with it. (The consistency is similar to that of a cow's skim milk, which is what I drank before my personal ephiphany). I still drink soy milk from time to time. It's good.
I guess the long and the short of it is try rice milk if you feel uncomfortable with the soy milk, but don't take a step back to cow's milk. That's just gross. ;>P

common, Soy is a large food, Soy milk is one thank you to acquire it and replace Cow Milk. Cow milk is for calfs, might you drink rat milk? Cow milk is formulated to make a calf strengthen as a cow. i'm useful you do not opt for that. there are a number of milk substitutes. not in simple terms soy. you are able to study the nutrients preparation on a Cow milk carton and evaluate it to the Milk substitutes the place you purchase groceries. seek for a replace that includes Calcium (25 o 33%) and diet D. you will quite be conscious the variation once you do the change. i'm being somewhat a hipocrite seeing that I nevertheless use cow milk in my eating regimen, I in simple terms intend to make a factor. notwithstanding I actual have decreased its use and that i've got actually viewed a marked progression in my sinus/hypersensitivity issues.

There a dozens of "Milks" on the market. Rice, Nuts(Almond, hazelnut etc) Grains(Oat & Multi).
While traveling I have used juice in my morning cereal(apple I think) Shoot it can be eaten dry with a drink on the side. Or made into a trail mix with dried fruit & nuts.
It's all what you adapt too. Who said the way we are doing things are set in stone. That ridgeness will kill any future adventures.

Not sure what is wrong with Soya milk - have you tried rice milk? Goats milk is nice unless you are fanatical about humans not having non-human milk.
I only eat cereal with fruit juice or water or yoghurt (soya is available) - I think it tastes poisonous with any type of milk.
Oh yes and it depends on the age of your children you should discuss this with your Doctor or Health Vistor.

soy milk, rice milk, and almond milk are all safe, healthy, and do not come from abused cows. children should be told what meat and dairy products are, not fed them as toddlers. cow's milk was intended for calves, just as human milk was intended for babies. when i was younger, i took calcium chews everyday, even though i ate dairy products and i still do.

Parsley has a lot of calcium in it, so just blend some up and pour it over. (Joke)
All of that talk about soy milk being bad is a bunch of rot. You'd have to consume great amounts in a short span of time for it to adversely affect you.
