Yes, ALL warts, including genital warts, are caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus).
There are over 120 different kinds or types of HPV and only a few of those "types" can cause genital warts. HPV types 6 and 11 are responsilbe for about 90% of genital wart cases.

Yes, I had the same question. But yes low risk HPV 6 & 11 cause genital warts however other strand of HPV can also cause warts. Make sure to eat healthy and exercise to boost ur immune system so that u can beat the virus. I've read that in most cases the virus goes away on its own & can take 6 months up to 2yrs. Personal experience...i just found out i have HPV and have been reading about it for the past wk in a half.

Yes - the warts are caused by Human Papilloma Virus. There are many different strains of HPV - only certain ones cause warts, and only certain ones are linked to cervical cancer.
Because HPV is a virus - it can't be treated with antibiotics.

Most people do actually have this disease, but only certain types form warts in certain people.
I went to the doctor and I'm all better.
