I'm 15.. a VERY paranoid person.. and I was reading the signs of diabetes.. i lost like, 2 pounds in like, a few days, and my vision doesn't seem the best right now, unless I'm just being too paranoid. I don't use the bathroom a lot, just as much as normal. I'm scared. =/ Help?

Hey there 15,

You don't have Diabetes.

We all lose and gain weight each day. It's water weight. If you continued to lose weight over a period of a few weeks, without dieting, I would be concerned. But if the scale goes down or up a couple of pounds, don't worry about it.

The hallmark symptoms of having Diabetes are excessive thirst and a frequent need to pee.

If those were the 2 symptoms you were having, I would tell you to talk to your parents & get it checked out.

So, this time, you're just being a bit paranoid.

It's good to be educated about things, so that if you or your future kids ever come down with symptoms, you'll be on top of things. Just don't get what is called Medical Students' Disease — where they see themselves as having every illness they read about. Seriously, that's a real syndrome, and that's what you have. ;-)

So, take a break, read some other types of books for now. Just don't worry about having Diabetes, OK?

To alleviate your concerns, go see a doctor, ask for a full workup to be absolutely sure that you're okay and everything's fine, which it probably is, and be done with it. If you're still worrying about your health after that, then you should go and see a therapist.

And just to make the point, cinnamon makes things taste funny, it does not cure diabetes. Stem cell therapies using bone marrow stem cells (ie not the ones from human embryos) have cured a small trial group, and it wasn't because of seasoning in the hospital food.

Dear alskdjfhg9876789,

Relax, take a deep breath and know there is always help in whatever problems we find ourselves in.

Knowing Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, praying to God for our salvation and health is first!

I am Christian minister that has seen God's healing power cure diseases such as cancer, kidney stones, blood disease and so on. My wife's cancerous tumor in her breast was 'miraculously' healed instantly by Jesus Christ!

There are 'natural' remedies for illnesses and diseases.

Make sure you a competent specialist or two checks you to see if you do in fact have 'diabetes'

Here is a wonderful web site I have used with 'natural' remedies. A friend of ours 'had' 'diabetes 2' and was 'cured' he told us by taking 'Cinnamon' tablets daily under a Christian doctor's care.

We will pray for your healing and God's Peace for you!

God Bless you and your family!

Your problem sounds more psychological than physical. Maybe you can see a therapist and find some reasons that you are paranoid. That's a mental illness.
