I have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I exercise everyday. I do both strength training and cardio.
I lost down to 127 pounds at 5'4" and STILL my glucose loading test came a little high. I used to weigh 149. I am eating healthy and trying to everything they say and still tested high. I am frustrated - help!

treat yourself as if you were already a diabetic. It may forestall becoming diabetic.

Getting a meter is a good idea, You can find which foods raise you blood sugars the most.

Try to lose more weight. I don't know what you ideal weight should be but you can tell by looking in the mirror.

Your body's response to glucose may not change soon after losing weight, but could still improve if you don't make it work to much on sugary food. You know you do not get to your desired weight by skipping one meal for one day, do not expect to see improvements in one day.

You know not to get frustrated when trying to lose weight, don't get frustrated when trying not to become diabetic.

good luck

All I can suggest is to really pay attention to what foods elevate YOUR blood sugar levels. Are you testing your own levels? That is really where you learn what's good for you.

For example, if I eat a single serving of instant oatmeal for breakfast (healthy, right?) my blood sugar soars high. But I can eat 1½ servings of hot oatbran and be great.

So getting a meter & testing after meals might relieve some frustration by illuminating the problems.

Congrats on the weight loass!!!!!!!

Perhaps you need to modify your diet. Eating healthy by one person's standards may not be all that healthy. Read more here:
