As a Dr. I would not recommend getting a piercing as a Type 1 or 2 Diabetic. Wounds take longer to heal and more often than not, they do not heal at all, thus amputations of extremities. If you want to take the chance of losing the breast, then by all means, pierce away.

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision. However, because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar experience no symptoms at all. How to treat diabetes naturally https://tr.im/n8mVb
Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:
Increased thirst
Increased urination
Weight loss in spite of increased appetite
Fatigue
Nausea
Vomiting
Patients with type 1 diabetes usually develop symptoms over a short period of time, and the condition is often diagnosed in an emergency setting.
Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:
Increased thirst
Increased urination
Increased appetite
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow-healing infections
Impotence in men
If you think you have diabetes i think you should have a checkup and speak with your doctor just in case.

OOOOWWWWWWwwwwwww!!!!
well, we heal slower than regular people so you have to make sure that if you decide to do that you really take care of the piercings and make sure you are in good control of your blood sugar. Might want to ask your dr. about the risks of infection.
My neice died at the age of 21 from an infection from an ear peircing. She was not in control of her blood sugars, she got an infection after getting her ear pierced at the top and got sick and died in her sleep. They did a full autopsy because she was so young, found no drugs/alcohol in her system. The only thing they could attribute it to was the infection. So, just be careful

Forget anything you have ever been told about Diabetes. And get this - it has nothing to do with insulin, exercise, diet or anything else you've heard in the past. It's all based on latest breakthrough research that Big Pharma is going Stir Crazy to hide from you. Visit here : https://tinyurl.im/aH1Xt to find out what all the fuss is about.

Piercing should be limited to persons with good diabetic control.

Poor taste is not limited to those without diabetes.
Be very careful. As a person with diabetes, we take longer to heal and you could get an infection.
I am not sure of the protocol for this but keep the area clean and if it becomes red or you have a fever or red lines coming from the sight, get to the doctor asap.

NOT a good idea. Diabetics heal much more slowly, and are at four times the risk for infection any time the skin is broken.

UH! why would you want to do that??? It would hurt!!! I don't do anything that hurts worse than finger pricks and injections and done right they don't hurt!!!
Your clothes would rub on the piercing and make it more sore! It would likely get infected and you don't want to do anything that might get infections do you??
