is US cornmeal the same as Colombian Corn flour for arepas?

I am trying to make arepa choclo, but all I have is white harina mas and yellow cornmeal from the US... Can I use the yellow cornmeal? Is it the same thing?

The cornmeal is a coarser grind. You can use it but the texture will be grittier.
