I mean subjects. Thanks for your feed back.

Very often what we (Board) look in a candidate are 4 subjects.
1) cardiology.
2)pulmonology.
3)infectious diseases.
4)nephrology .
5) experience in handling equipments e.g. ventilators.

Its the same as becoming any nurse. They may want you to have a couple years nursing experience before you start in any intensive care, but it is different any where you go..... here is a link to a BSN (bachelors in nursing)http://www.son.washington.edu/students/bsn_curriculum.asp

These are just examples of what courses you will be expected to take. Every school has their own curriculum plan, but are all relitivly similar. :) Hope this helps.
