I'm not sure, but it also depends on how many of the 70 people are adults and how many are children. Probably the maximum is 1/2 lb. per adult, but it is probably less than that. If you are getting deli you can probably ask at the deli counter, but keep in mind that their estimate will probably be on the high side since they want to sell you as much expensive meat as possible. Also factor in if you are expecting a lot of very fat people that like to eat a lot. It also depends on what other food you have. If cost is an issue, you should probably have other foods, like pasta dishes, pizza, etc. If people eat other cheaper stuff you won't need as much meat.

Well, I don't know how old your daughter and her friends are, but I suspect she's younger, at least under 18. Hamburgers are usually 1/4 pound, so you can do the math there. You could also make them 1/2 pound, needing 35 pounds of hamburger. I would assume teenage girls wouldn't eat more than that, though having some extra could never hurt. If I was throwing a party for 70 of my friends, I would go a pound a piece, as we're all adults, and snack alot or get another smaller plate of food after the first go-round. Hope this helps!

About half a pound of meat per adult and less for children. If you are making hamburgers then about 1/4 a pound per burger.

all the meals might not need meat.also bear in mind that red meat is not too good ,so supliment with fish as much as you can.
