Actually, the person above is confusing two different STDs. Warts and herpes are caused by two DIFFERENT viruses. Genital warts are caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). They are two VERY different viruses, neither of which have cures for.

You can pretty much get any STD from unprotected oral sex. Of course some STDs are pretty rare to be spread by oral sex compared to other STDs.

The STD that is spread through oral sex more than any other STD is herpes. If a person has cold sores and gives another person oral sex it can cause the person receiving to develop genital herpes, and vice versa (genital area to the mouth).

Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2 cause both cold sores and genital herpes. Cold sores are usually caused by herpes simplex virus 1, while genital herpes are usually caused by herpes simplex virus 2.

Bacterial STDs can be treated and cured with antibiotics. These STDs can include: syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia.

STDs caused by parasites can also be cured. Crabs (pubic lice), trichomoniasis, and scabies can be cured.

Viral STDs are NOT curable. HIV/AIDS, HPV, herpes, and hepatitis are NOT curable. There are medications to treat the symptoms, but there are no cures.

To get tested for STDs visit your doctor or any local STD clinic. Good luck!

Most STDs affect both men and women, but in many cases the health problems they cause can be more severe for women. If a pregnant woman has an STD, it can cause serious health problems for the baby.

If you have an STD caused by bacteria or parasites, your health care provider can treat it with antibiotics or other medicines. If you have an STD caused by a virus, there is no cure. Sometimes medicines can keep the disease under control. Correct usage of latex condoms greatly reduces, but does not completely eliminate, the risk of catching or spreading STDs.

yes you can. in any case thet bodily fluids are being exchanged, such as saliva and semen or ***, STD's can be transmitted. and trust me you do not want an STD in your throat por around your mouth. if you are practicing any type of sexual activity you should frequently get tested. it is quick and easy. you can call a local clinic and it is completely confidencial and often free. i know planned parenthood also provides STD testing and they give free pregnancy tests. you can look up location on line, they have a website.
