I have always heard South American beef is the best but have lately heard poor things about Brazilian beef; is Argentian and Uruguyan to be tarred with the same brush?

It's been a while since I've been in Brasil, but when I was there, the beef I had was excellent. I would love to go the churrascaria for the rodizio style meals.

I actually really preferred Argentinian meat above the others mentioned. It was great (although I really don't see a huge difference with a great cut of US beef) but the best part about it was it was super cheap! I went to a Brazilian steakhouse in Sao Paulo and it was so expensive (save your appetite as they only bring the really good stuff out last). Uruguay had amazing seafood.

Because of the high quality grazing lands on the pampas, Argentinian beef is regarded as amongst the very best quality beef in the world.

Not too sure about Brazil or Uruguay though.

Good. But, in my opinion none compare to Nicaraguan beef.

The meat in Brazill is really good. I'm not a real big meat eatter, but my husband couldn't get enough of it. Their methods of cooking it are really great.
