costume party?

i'm having a costume party and i need ideas for decorations, ect. !! also, any costume ideas?

Well pick a theme any theme.... would you like to be Carrie with the prom dress, tiara and drenched in blood..... or maybe the bride of Frankestein.... hiow about the queen of the dammed (vampire queen)... or maybe you like other things like... a fairy princess or a bumble bee, a pumpkin, a flower or a disney character...... or do you have a naughty side... like a nurse, a corsett wearing bar maid or you can wear a cat suit (the very tight one) and the pointy ears.... Or maybe you lile a more wimsical look..... an era costume like the 20`s, 50`s, 60`s, 70`s, 80`s or a futuristic look.....

Well take your pick..... Hope you pick something fun...!!!

Well, first of all you need to decide on a theme for the costumes......Some suggestions are Hollywood stars, favorite cartoon characters, famous couples, the 50's, the 70's, etc......Decorate accordingly & serve foods that go with your themes.......I've had a couple, it will be a blast!!

Pick a theme and that will help you decorate and come up with a costume. Like if you did "fairy tales" you could dress up as Little Red Riding Hood and your date/spouse/SO could be the big Bad Wolf and you could decorate like it's the woods from the story (have leaves every where, put up cardboard cutouts of trees, buy/borrow fake trees put them everywhere, cut out a "path" from brown kraft paper and lay that out like a path).

Or maybe do a decade like the the 70s' and dress like a disco diva (or Marcia Brady) and decorate with disco balls, cut out words like "groovy" "disco inferno" and tape it to the walls, play disco music, etc.

Have a movie theme like horror movies and dress like a character (sorry can't think of a good girl character) and decorate like a horror house.

or go with a angels and demons theme--decorate part of the place like hell (fire, replace regular light bulbs with red bulbs) and part like heaven (fluffy clouds, harps, angels) and dress like an angel or a demon.

you can ask your guests to dress with the theme or not--sometimes it helps them think of stuff, some people find it harder to be restricted so if it depends on your guests (and their level of creativity) and how broad your theme is.
