Depends what you mean by liver disease. There are many hundreds of different liver diseases. The only ones you can catch, person to person are the hepatidites. ( pleural of hepatitis, honest!) Hepatitis C can be spread sexually as can hepatitis B. Hepatitis A is water borne, so you would need to drink contaminated water. There are also number of liver flukes and parasites you could both get from eating contaminated, undercooked foods, mainly pork.

If you are talking about other non infective liver conditions, you can't catch them.

There are many types of liver disease. If you are dealing with alcoholic cirrhosis there is not a threat. But there are forms of hepatitis that are extremely contagious and are definitely STD's. Hepatitis C most definitely is a sexually transferable disease. It is now on the rise and is spreading at a horrible rate. Find out what type of liver disease and talk to your doctor. Hep C is dangerous. There is treatment but not a cure.Be careful and good luck.

Hepatitis is an STI. It is also blood-borne, so it can be transmitted from open sores, cuts, scrapes, etc. It's not in the saliva, so it usually can't be gotten from eating after each other or sharing drinks. Cirrhosis of the liver is not contagious.

Eating: NO
Sex: Yes!! Hepatitis B and C can be transmitted. You should be vaccinated against HepB but sadly no vaccine for Hep C yet. And, not to scare you, but once they occure they are pretty bad and EXPENSIVE.
