(-: They are very thirsty, and they forgot to bring their own drinks with them.

I often pay a buck for a bottle of tea when I'm on the go -- although lately, I've been better about bringing water or tea from home when I go out. $3.50 is really pricey -- they must think they're getting some really good stuff!
