Hello have been a type 1 for 34 yrs. I have been on the pump for 8 yrs. There is a local pump club and a Diabetes club that meet once a month. I meet alot of Type 1s and I learn from others. I also have 2 first cousins who are type 1

Hi, diabetic since i was 11 & i'm 15 now.
I know plenty of type 1 diabetics, i go to a summer camp just for people with it, it's a great experience.

Hello to you...from another type 1. I was diagnosed at age 26 (unusual, I know but it does happen). I use an insulin pump.
EMT
You're right...among diabetics, roughly 5-10% are type 1. The vast majority are type 2.

Yeah, I'm almost 20 and have been type I since I was 8 and pumping since I was 10.
Any complications after 30 years?? That is incredible.
