the only way to get HIV is direct contact with body fluids of someone that is infected. blood, vaginal secretions, and semen are usually how it's transmitted. HIV can also be found in urine and saliva but not as large amounts as in blood and sexual fluids.

in order to get aids, someone has to be HIV positive. If neither one has the virus, then your chances are very very slim. Someone has to have the virus in order to pass it on. That doesn't mean you shouldn't use protection. Theres many other viruses and STDs out there that you can get. Some never go away. Remember, viruses have no cure, and if you get something like herpes, you will have it forever. If its bacterial, then its treatable but you dont want to go through the misery of having one. I made a mistake years ago and ended up with herpes, now I will have it forever...and its hard to explain to your partner when you start a new relationship that you have something like that. Always use protection.

well if both of you dont have aids. the only other way to get it is through blood and breast milk, but I doubt that you guys drink breast milk. so did you come in contact with someone that was bleeding who also had aids? if so then get checked. if not then you probably dont have them.

Simple answer. No.

*You and your partner don't have AIDS, so there's no AIDS virus to spread to each other.*

You can't get it from your partner if he/she is not infected. You might get it from someone else, though, if you have another partner who does have HIV.

To be absolutely sure you and your partner don't have HIV, you may want to consider being tested.
