No, you don't need to eat meat for proper growth. Actually, you're pretty lucky you don't like meat considering how many health problems the rampant meat consumption in the United States causes. I would definitely stick with what you're doing.

I know you're not a vegetarian, but here's a link from the Mayo Clinic (internationally renowned medical practice) discussing living as a healthy vegetarian. It can help you out on knowing what to eat for your meatless days, and hopefully alleviate your worrying about it.

As for your friends, they need to learn eventually that it's okay for people to have different likes and dislikes. I haven't eaten any meat in years, my friends are accustomed to it, and I also have generally good health. Do what you want and your friends will have to get used to it. :)

well I think that people like your friends are just doing what boys do in the face of something foreign to them I wouldn't worry about it too much and I dont know why you dont like meat or periods or for that matter commas but it sure does make it hard to read when someone decides that they are interested in what you want to know and they want to help by giving you a sensible answer I would like to also tell you that you shouldnt get pissed off about things like that because it doesnt matter If you dont like meat then you should explore why from a neutral position Is it something that you revolt on sight or smell Or is it something that while you are young and your tastebuds may change you have just a general dislike of the texture and taste of the meat completely I hope you have a better time deciphering my answer than I did understanding your question and I wish you all the best of luck hope it helps

It is not "Natural" to eat meat. Most people only really enjoy the sauces, fixin' style of meats not the meat itself. There is a hormone is meat that is addictive, some never can break it once they have been "caught".
I find it so interesting that so many people on this site talk about how rude & crude their so call friends are about their not eating meat.
As for needing chicken, beef, pork for growth & health NOT TRUE.

As I got older, I discovered that eating meat was not as pleasing as it used to be. My body literally rejected it, and I hated the whole greasiness and ickyness.

You are probably going through the same thing. Your body is rejecting the meat. As long as you eat a varied diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, and beans/pulses, you really don't need meat.

That said, I'm a big fan of analogues. Go figure!

you don't need meat for proper growth ( that is a myth.) tell your friends to stop giving you crap for choosing not to eat meat. some people just don't like it, its not weird.
