not for that short of a period.
recovery time might take too long and it will be uncomfortable for patrons.

8 hours, ya. but i wouldn't do it for less time than that.

even then i wouldn't go more than 5*f.
you still have refrgeration equipment that put out heat and raise the interior temp.

when the interior temp gets too high, the refrigeraton equip. works harder running up the power bill and increase wear on the compressors.

then your a/c has to pull that heat out, running longer and under more load.

You're best off raising the temp on the ac and leaving it on all the time. If you leave it off too long the temperature gets too high and then it has to work much harder to bring it back down agian. It doesn't make sense.

For 3 hours, I would turn it down (meaning to increase the temperature) ... not off completely.
