My boyfriend and I are both allergic to LATEX condoms... but we use the polyurithane (non-latex) condoms or the lamb skin condoms. Guys who are not circumcised claim to have a difficult time orgasming if they wear a condom.

My live-in boyfriend and have stopped using condoms, but only after we had both been tested and I felt confident that my method of birth control would work. He never had an orgasm while wearing a condom, but he wore them anyway to protect me because he loves me. He will do anything I ask him to (if there's a good reason). We also discussed the possibility of pregnancy and agreed that while we were not ready, a kid would be okay.

Any boy who refuses to wear a condom does not have respect for you or your body. Any boy who refuses to wear a condom has probably has unprotected sex with other girls and is probably infecting you with every disease they didn't know they had. HPV being the number one problem. 75% of sexually active women will get HPV. Several of the strains of HPV can cause genital warts and cancer. Guys generally won't know they have it, either.

Protect yourself. Use a condom. I recommend polyurithane. Lamb skin does not protect against HIV and HPV as much.

It is possible for him to be allergic to latex which is what standard condoms are made of.

It could be that he is putting them on inncorrectly and as a result is getting irritated from the condom rubbing on his penis.

Or, it could be that he doesn't like them and figures that telling you he is allergic is the easiest way to get you to agree not to use them.

I'm an HIV counselor, and whenever someone comes in and tells me that they have a latex allergy and that's why they don't use condoms, I go through a little experiment.

First, I ask the person what happens when they put on the condom. Then I ask them if that same thing happens when they touch rubber bands or household cleaning gloves or balloons.

All of those other things are made of latex. A person with a latex allergy will be allergic to all of those things as well.

9 time out of 10 it turns out that latex allergy is not the issue.

If you insist that your boyfriend use condoms, you should talk to him about trying out different types of condoms. There are many different kinds out there and he may be able to find one that he can live with.

If he truly is allergic to latex, he can use polyurethane condoms which NO ONE is allergic to.

Below is some info about condoms, how to put them on and signs/symptoms of a latex allergy:

It's possible that he is allergic to latex, but there are non-latex condoms. Or he might be allergic to spremacide. In either case go to a plan parenthood location and find out what you can use as a contraceptive. He's putting you at high risk if he's not helping you find another alternative.

it can be possible [im not sure how he found out] but it is most likely that he is alergic to the latex in it which most condoms are made of, but they do make condoms from a different material i cant remember what is was but it usually says on the packet, either that or he is just being selfish and doesnt want to use 1 cuz it changes the feeling probably, i suggest that u go and find a condom made out of the other material i mentioned because even though you wont get pregnant you can still get stds like aids

Its possible he could be allergic to the latex. But, chances are he probably doesn't want to use one. If he is allergic, ask your pharmacist about latex free condoms, yes they make them.

Yes, it is possible to be allergic to latex or allergic to the spermicide that they use on condoms.

He might have an allergy to latex. You can use animal-skin condoms, which have no latex, but they don't protect against the HIV virus and other STDs.

Entirely possible, but I highly doubt it! I would guess he's just using that as an excuse not to wear one. A boyfriend should be better than that!
