I don't support PETA, they seem to create much bad publicity.

Check out the veggie society or the IVU for a more positive approach to vegetarian issues.

If people don't want to hear your message they will see "encourgement" as being preachy and your message will be lost and you will leave a negative imagine.

Tell people if they want to know, if they dont - leave them alone and lead by quiet example.

You'll find your own level of support for veggie issues.

I used to be a member of PETA, but not anymore. I'm glad there is such an organization, but I don't always agree with the way they do certain things.

In a perfect world, I think it would be wonderful if everyone was vegetarian, but I'm realistic enough to understand that it probably won't happen anytime soon. I think it's smarter to accept people as they are; trying to force my views on others isn't going to accomplish anything positive. However, if somebody shows an interest in trying vegetarianism, I would be very happy to offer any assistance they might accept.

To be honest, i'm notably narrow yet besides the undeniable fact that this is merely area of my genes. the two my mothers and dads are additionally vegetarian and delivered me up veggie and so i've got by no ability certainly eaten meat. i won't be in a position to establish how a loss of something that i've got by no ability even had in my weight loss plan could make me at a shy away. My physique is genuinely healthy- I even have an exceptionally sturdy stamina for this reason why i will certainly run 3000m races, and so forth- actual which ability i'm in sturdy shape?

Don't really like PETA. I know they have done some good work, but its too... forcing in a way.

I don't think vegetarians or vegans should try and make meat eaters stop eating meat. Its a personal choice and at the end of the day we are all going to die and no longer care.

I think no one should be encouraged. If they want to become one they will. If otherwise personally i don't care they can live there life the way they want to.
Peta meat eaters? Never ever heard of one but i guess it's possible.
I have tons of friends that eat meat but i don't say how can you eat an innocent animal? everything i see them. Hell no! It's there choice, I don't really care what they do, as long as no one puts it in my face like some people do at my school.
I believe though when someone is making fun of vegetarians or being rude to them, I can get a little attack mode myself and step in and tell them to piss off or tell them what their favorite foods really contain.

i think peta is a great organization. i'm taking a job there and have been volunteering a lot. i've been with them for demos (most recently michael vick in richmond). they get a lot of bad press, but they have a huge membership roster (over 1 million) and they do a lot of good for animals. the bad press brings attention to the issues.

i have nothing against meat eaters personally. it's their choice and i don't live by the idea that i'm right and they're wrong. i just ask that they keep an opened mind about my eating habits and not criticize them.

i'd like it if more people were vegan or vegetarian, but i only encourage those who seem to want to be encouraged. if i tried to force someone to stop eating meat for ethical reasons, they could keep doing it just out of spite. i do, however, try to get people to not wear fur or to buy non-animal tested products. most people don't get offended, and they mostly are open to the idea of giving up fur and proctor gamble products.

i summation; peta=good, meat eaters=their choice, me=wish there were more vegetarians, but i don't lose sleep, and i'm not pushy.

i personally like peta for pressuring their beliefs anyway they can but sometimes I feel that they are sometimes asking too much I think that they don't realize America is not gonna go vegetarian overnight but it seems if we did they'll ask us to go vegan the next day and then monks i believe they sometimes are too caught up in their beliefs that they don't come down to earth and I will be damned to let anyone criticize peta for being human they are only a group that is energized by anger and publicity that they do sometimes do get caught up but we must accept the fact that without peta probalby more than half of us would not be the good and compassionate people we are so i give peta 2 thumbs up for being human and 1 thumb down for not coming down to earth but I say again they are only trying to do the best they can!

1.i don't really like peta. they give us a bad name.
2.my family are all meat eaters. there is nothing wrong with them as long as they respect my veganism.
3.i think it would be fantastic if everyone was at least a vegetarian; but that is a choice people need to make on their own. i only inform people about veganism when they ask and see genuinely interested.

:)

i think PETA gives vegetarians and animal rights activists (for lack of a better word, i'm sure not everyone who believes in animal rights is an extremist) a bad name. PETA seems to only want to create a sensation, more often than actually addressing issues in a way that might get things done. they are often too violent and destructive, especially for a group who is against harming animals. that in and of itself should make them a peaceful organization.

PETA has a nice message, but I strongly disagree with some of the scare tactics they use to guilt or scare people into being vegetarian.
