Warts are caused by viruses and have nothing to do with handling frogs and toads.

See your doctor about having the warts removed!

Warts are a viral illness, the strange idea that you can get them from toads ( rather than frogs), has been around since the middle ages.

they used to say toads not frogs could give you warts. untrue as it is a virus spread by contact with another person's wart..unless they are french you won't catch one off a frog

no they dont cause warts. when i was a kid i used to pick up those big toads that everyone calls frogs. i still do now sometimes. i work with a guy that is scared of them so sometimes i'll find one and show it to him. i think its funny that a grown man can be scared of something like that.

You won;t get warts from them, but they can sometimes carry salmonella bacteria on their skin and you could get a nasty case of diarrhea from that. Wash your hands with hot water and soap after handling them and don't touch your eyes or mouth before you have washed.
