Does anyone out there have experience or knowledge of a cardiology test called "Myocardia Perfusion Imaging". Are there any short term or long term side effects of this procedure? I am aware that the procedure involves introducing radioactive substance into the heart.

Its a study where you are injected with a radioactive isotope (very small amount - no short or long term risk to you or others) . The isotope is taken in by heart muscle when it is beating normally. The heart is then made to beat more quickly (either by mild to moderate exercise or by another intravenous agent) and the isotope 'lets go' of heart muscle that is getting an inaadequate blood supply for the degree of exercise. Its one of many tests that can be done to investigate angina and other heart muscle problems.
