My sister is a HUGE John Travolta fan. Im throwing her a surpirse party and I need some ideas of what I should do. How I should decorate? Im getting huge cut outs of John Travolta from her favorite movies and putting them everywhere so its like hes there but what kinda decorations should i get? drinks? food? thanks!

do a mix of his movies tell people to come dress as there favorite john travolta character from the movies he has played in and the women tell them to dress an a john travolta leading lady (ex. sandy from grease) and look up on the internet for some john travolta movie inspired dishes (there is a website for everything) and then come up with your own dishes (not gross ones) and name them after a movie or character he played, hope that has help your creative juices flowing, good luck!

Pick food inspired by his different movies, for example you could do burgers and fries for Grease, another fun idea would be to have people come dressed up as different John Travolta characters. Sounds like a fun idea, I love John Travolta too, he's a great actor!

Do a Saturday Night Fever theme. He was in that movie and that is always fun to do. Theres dancing, music, and you can have everyone dress accordingly to the theme. That would be a blast! You can have popcorn, candy, sodas, balloons, banners, there are endless possibilities as to what you can do to this party! Dont forget the John Travolta movies and the SNF music!!! Most importantly, dont forget to have fun!

A Tea Party... definitely Not casual... How about a pair of red Capri's (they called them pedal pushers in the 50's), a white short sleeve button down shirt (with a collar of course), red flats, bright red lip stick & if your hair is long put it in a ponytail & tie a red scarf around it. If your hair is short wear the scarf as a head band. If pants are to casual borrow a full red skirt if you don't own one. P.S. No one wore hoop skirts in the 50's

How about huge crazy Scientology-inspired cutouts? E-meters? L.Ron Hubbard posters? How about a big pretend closet door with a life-size cutout of JohnTravolta in there? LOL.

what a great idea! really lends itself well to a party.
i think you need to have a specialty drink just for the party -- maybe something with vodka and homestyle OJ that can be called a "Pulp Fiction." (pulp, get it?) or maybe something called a Saturday Night Fevertini. (put something red or spicy in it.) to eat, you can have brooklyn style pizza, angel hair pasta or angel food cake or wings. (for "Michael") too bad there's no recipe for Scientology Pie!

either go with the saturday night fever theme or pulp fiction. when you choose, select your music, decor, etc from that movie. (ex: fever: disco theme..... pulp: use the scene when john and uma won the dance contest as your theme) have fun.
