I have 50 guests. Let's say that there are 10 heavy drinkers, 25 average drinkers, 10 light drinkers, and 5 non-drinkers.

I am serving beer and wine. How much do I need of each?

This is a housewarming party. I don't know how many prefer wine vs. beer.

guess it really depends on how long the party is, i would say 3 bottles for the heavy drinkers, 2 for the average drinkers and 1 for the light drinkers. There's also the wine to count for. i would say 6-8 bottles of wine. And if people are bringing some too then there should be plenty of alcohol. Maybe do some mix drinks to spread the alcohol out longer..

Have Fun!

It's hard to answer without knowing how many prefer wine vs. beer, however, if it is for an evening event, you should usually approximate half a bottle of wine per wine drinker (I realize that sounds like too much, but if it is an evening event, the average person would drink 1 glass per hour). For beers, you should approximate 4-5 beers per drinker (1 per hour). Considering you have heavy drinkers, maybe a little more than that.

Without knowing much else, I would say maybe 13-16 bottles of wine, and 5 24's of beer. (depending on the length of the event).

Hope it's fun, good luck!!

Depends how many are beer drinkers and how many are wine drinkers. Can't answer the question without that info.

I would think 2 12-packs of beer (two different kinds) and maybe one bottle of red, one bottle of white, and one blush, ought to do you. Don't forget that wine is a customary housewarming gift, so you'll probably end up with extra bottles of wine to serve, too, as long as you don't mind sharing your gift with everyone at the party!
