Increase MSM intake (keeps inflamation down naturally), glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate for joints. Light weights first, yoga is very good also. It's probably one of the best things you can do for diabetes. Also, look up a site from Dr Jullian Whitaker for solitions for diabetes. Chromium picolinate is one product that helps to regulate the pancrease. I no longer have diabetes because of these two changes.

If you have had medical procedures done with your shoulder i would not try to start body building/weight lifting until youhave been cleared by your therapist, as you dont want to do more damamge to your arm. However as for being able to, yes you should be fine. Keep a close eye on your blood sugars, and keep food around for those lows...but know that the Mr. Universe from 2006 is a type one diabetic, and i hope that encourages to you do even more. just get the all clear from your Doctors first!

I am diabetic and exercise. You just have to be careful not to bottom out on blood sugar while exercising. Start slowly and don't do stupid stuff like taking supplements or steroids. Consult your doctor and a specialist sport physician.
