People with HSV2 live a normal average life just like anyone else. Having genital herpes doesn't decrease a person's lifespan or quality of life. It also doesn't cause infertility or cause a person to become sterile. And, it is NOT deadly.

The same as an average person without herpes. It doesn't affect a person's lifespan and usually causes no problems.
Only in very, very, VERY few cases can herpes became a serious/ life threatening condition. It is extremely rare, but can lead to an unlikely form of viral meningitis in a person with a poor immune system. That can in turn possibly lead to death, but the chances are almost non-existent.

People do not die of herpes, if that is what you are asking.
Herpes is a virus that will stay in the body for the duration of a person's life.
One bright spot is that in general, as people get older, the frequency and severity of herpes outbreaks lessens.

Forever. It's a virus that always stays in your system. It can remain dormant for years...some people have it and don't even know it. There are anti-viral medications that help suppress it, but it never goes away.
