It seems like veggies are always cutting one another down and making sideways comments. Why is this? Why do they not show love for one another and create a better example. Honestly, after dealing with all the hatred in the V&V section, I am surprised anyone wants to become a veggie. I think we need to work on being more positive.

I just read the replies and it gave me a chuckle deep in my belly. You people definitely have no leadership. This is why vegetarianism is not expanding. You people walk around living in fantasy world. I speak the hard cold truth and I don' sugar coat it. I will always speak the truth and I will never be silenced!!!

No doubt this is partly aimed at me seeing as though you have told me on several recent occasions i need to be more postive.

So, lets think about who generates more negatively among vegetarians shall we ?

(1) a Person who has posted such negative questions and rants that there are now multiple people impersonating her to try and get rid of her because of the negative impact she has caused this forum

or

(2) Someone who promotes, in the real world, the vegetarian and vegan diets in a positive manner by running a V&V business that caters for 5,000 people, including meat-eaters trying the veggie diets, every year, and is considered one of the most sucessful and highest quality small scale veggie businesses in the UK. Also, this person has a farm where they house rescue cows, sheep and chickens from commercial farms, brings in people so they can LEARN about animals. All done in a thoughtful, non-preachy manner.

which is more positive ?

Personally, i can't see anythng that you have done thats postive and ranting on here about how right you are actually does nothing for the V&V movement nor animal welfare in real terms.

Can i have 10 points please ? Or is this just another question where you cannot be bothered to choose a best answer because all you want to do is seek attention and are not really interested in real answers.

I'm not trying to be mean, but your last part about speaking the cold hard truth and not sugar coating it, isn't that cutting one another down with elitism? Don't you think that would hinder you in spreading the word as well?

I do think in general people should be more positive, but vegetarians are a group like any other group: there's always some animosity and there's always someone with a bad attitude. You could substitute "vegetarian" in your paragraph with any other group and the same problem would still be relevant.

I think it is because people are (become) vegetarians for so many reasons. Some because of health reasons (actually a whole lot), some because of environmental reasons and some for ethical reasons. So, as always when there are so many conflicting interests people tend to disagree and even worse back bite. I gave up being part of any organizations a long time ago after realizing that all you get out of them is politics and bad feelings. It is unfortunate really, since there is so much power when people get together for any cause. Of course this is not isolated to the V&V sections (as you or some one else put it), it is there everywhere. It is just more obvious because it is a smaller community in my humble opinion

I hear ya talkin', and you are the real Ashley. (What's the deal with these Ashley clones?)

You "speak the truth and will not be silenced?" Doesn't that sound a little high and mighty to you? It's no wonder people would be inclined to tease you. You are responsible for at least some of the negativity here.

I'm 50 and my job is helping mentally retarded and mentally ill people get government benefits, but I don't go around talking like I think I'm Jesus or something.

(Some of my clients do, but that's beside the point.)

I think a lot of people have conflicting views. Some people are only vegetarian for health reasons and they have this anti-animal rights thing going on. To me if you are a vegetarian you are still supporting the decision and should offer your advice and experience. No one can force anyone to do anything they don't want to and so many people argue not to force people. It makes no sense. To me if you are a vegetarian you obviously think it's a better way of life and shouldn't argue against it. By the way I love questions like this because I get to update my blocked list. I think I blockes somewere around 15 on this one.

there is truthfully no way which you would be able to triumph over negativity in spite of variety it incredibly is presented in; it incredibly is the different of positivity. it could although be switched over by using meditation. via meditation i do no longer recommend lalala take a seat and watch the fairies play, even though it incredibly is available to pass however each and every layer of the ideas and go beyond it. what's incorrect with feeling offended in the direction of somebody for killing your pal? Why can we experience that it is so undesirable? This anger could be used. you have a option to the two pass out and seek for revenge, or use that magnificent stress to grant you the rocket gas you're able to be able to desire to propel you right into a clean layer of your expertise. the only thank you to eliminate negativity - so i'm informed - is to go beyond the two the postitive and the unfavorable and then i think of you would be enlightened and you're able to be able to propose me.

You want to work on being more positive? Your posts alone make a mockery of this section. A better example?? Nobody else here who seriously likes to answer real questions posts nonsense like you. If you are even for real, you are an embarrassment to the vegetarian community.

For me, I think that it lies somewhere between getting bashed time and time again, answering questions that are clearly...... whatever, such as those constantly directed toward gas and urine, meeting stupidity head on, using sarcasm to reply to those lackadaisical vegetarians who do, in fact, belong in this section but are too lazy to type "gelatin" into the search engine, and poking a little back to keep from losing my mind at the constant stream of rubbish that flows from keyboards of blatant disregard.

Hope it helps.

Don't take this personally but it's YOU we have a negativity towards.

I don't speak for everyone here.

I'll say "we" as a collective as in the veggies I know in RL would really hate and stay da' hell away from someone like you. We wouldn't want to be associated with you, have anyone think we were anything like you and we wouldn't enjoy your company anyway.

As a side note, I also think you're bother line psychotic in some of your posts and this has absolutely nothing to do with you being a veggie. I seriously hope this is just your net persona.

Re-phrase: Please DO take it personally.

BTW, I don't believe you live in London and date a stock investor. You wouldn't last a day there.

I love veggies... we get along fine. IT'S JUST YOU. You're convincing me you're a troll anyway so I can't be ar*sed to argue with you. All you talk about is human waste, gas and preaching your veganism. You also love to lie don't you ashley? Granted you are calming down a bit now but I think the damage is done... sorry but YOU are the one with the problem... WE get along just fine.
