It depends on where he is assigned on the base. Unlike army units, when the AF deploys it is not the entire base or even an entire squadron. Sometimes we have just handfuls go to different locations, as needed. Deploying with the AF is a whole different game!! Most of the places I have seen army guys working with the AF are not in highly deployable jobs.

Yes, if the you you are assigned to deploys, but hey, at least you will live the live of luxury, and only be there for 6 monthes instead of 15 months like the rest of the real Army soldiers

I'm not too familiar with a single army position that would be embedded with an AF unit. I know that Army units will task individuals to fill roles at locations primarily operated by the AF.

Look at your orders, Does it say "variations authorized" anywhere? If so you can go anywhere your temp unit does at any time. IF not then they will probably issue a second set of orders for any deployment that might come up.

This is called "Jointness" welcome to the New Army/Air Force/Navy/Marines and good luck!

Work on the spelling please, "Air Face" is borderline hurtful.

Maybe he had better ask one of his officers, or better still, a corporal
