yes you can. I know The paperwork to fill out is called EROD (early return of dependents). I have seen a few family do this while we were in Germany.

It has to be approved by his commander. You would most likely need a doctor's excuse on why, since you are pregnant and some other documentation may be needed.

You will need to have him speak to his chain of command. It is possible, but only if his slot will be open four months sooner. You should also speak to your Dr. as they are unlikely to clear you to travel in the last 6-8 weeks of your pregnancy, so this would mean trying to push the PCS date even earlier. My advice would actually be to see if you can move the PCS date to the end of month of June or early July. This will give you over a month to recuperate. Your husband should be able to get some leave to help get things organized for the move and then go back to outprocess. Yes, you would be trying to move with a young baby, but that can be easier on you and more comfortable to travel that way than 7 months pregnant! Your other option is always to go back to the states earlier on your own, but this would mean your husband missing the birth of your child and I know that is not something most couples want. In any case, this is something that you should beging looking into now.

he needs to request it. usually it is no problem, especially CONUS to CONUS. However, there may be issues about getting base housing. Most require them Sponsor to have checked into the new command before being put on the housing list, so you could very well end up living out in town until he gets there. Also, no Family Separation, and can you afford to maintain two households on the BAH of where is is until June?

the problem your going to encounter that i can see is getting a doctor to let you fly from japan late in your pregnancy, my husbands date was in may and i was due feb 15........we were in japan (AF) and they gave us permission to go early however i didnt get it until the 3rd trimester and you cant go on an international flight in the 3rd trimester without a doctor release mine wouldnt give it. so basically you would have to go by january. your only choice would be to apply for an ERD (early return of dependents) and move you back ahead of time then your husband join you in june. if you are denied and have to have the baby in japan make sure you have all the documentation you need ahead of time so that you can get the babys consulars report and passport ASAP. you are gonna need both parents birth certificates, your passport, your marriage lisence and if either of you wer emarried before the divorce decree. hope this helps.
