How do they expect anyone to take them seriously when they say stuff like this? and when they have people like albert gore coming out with a supposed documentary that's really just propaganda, its no wonder most people aren't jumping on the global warming bandwagon. I say just wait awhile, it will be back to global cooling within 20 years.

Not a cause - but a contribution.
Decaying human remains is also a contribution.
These are natural contributions to CO2 release.
Industry in general (invented, caused and run by HUMANS) is the cause of unnatural, premature global warming.
Moneymakers and governments stand to lose big money if too many believe in the danger.
Are you ready for the rapture? Or, should I ask, do you have enough money in the bank to secure a room on a space station to escape extinction?
More and more, I believe only a select few will survive this if measures aren't taken to slow this down, and they know it, but their ideas are win-win for them - if the climate can be saved, they own it, and if it can't, they have the money to run - so why would they warn us? The money must keep coming in.

this pisses me off.

here i am, top of the food chain, el human being. numero uno, big kahuna.

I AM THE ONE HERE TO DESTROY THE EARTH!

now i find out some lowly moose is competing with me.

one of natures creatures spews out the equivalent of a b-52 on a bombing run to iraq!

incredible!

i say we need to find these moose herds and make moose burgers and sell them at mc donalds.

this must happen ASAP!

we need to off them so i can drive my big american V8 cars and trucks longer.

in another 10 years all the roads will be washed away due to the intense storms/flooding.

plus i wouldn't want to leave my air conditioned house because the temperature is going to go up something like 30*f in the next ten years too.

if we whack them now, maybe we can get 20 years instead of 10.

remember, WE MUST ACT NOW FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

Oh dear.

I'm not a zoologist so can't comment specifically on moose but if their digestive system is anything like that of bovine then they will contribute to global warming.

There is no one cause of global warming and no one is claiming such, you state global warming is being blamed on moose - please provide a link to your source. If you want to question global warming by all means do so but please don't resort to the kind of tactics used in a school yard and don't obtain your information from sources that have no credibility.

Gore's movie and book were based on widely accepted scientific doctrine, it's roots being in established fact. Whilst not 100% accurate the underlying message is both clear and factually correct.

To claim most people aren't jumping on the global warming bandwagon seems to be wishful thinking on your part. It has the support of every government worldwide, every scientific organisation bar one, every major corporation including the oil companies and is viewed as a serious threat by 92% of people. Here's the World Public Opinion report from 2006, at that time the figure was 90% http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/btenvironmentra/187.php?nid=&id=&pnt=187

There was no global cooling scare, this is something that has effectively been fabricated by those seeking to refute global warming. The scare, such as it was, extended to a handful of misinformed reports in a limited number of publications. It never had any scientific backing and if you speak to people who were around in the 70's the chances are that very few, if any, will remember so much as global cooling having been mentioned.

----------

EDIT: Having now pulled up info about moose and global warming, it is, as I suspected, in that their digestive system is the same as that of bovine (it produces methane).

I assume the report in question is the one concerning moose in Norway. One adult moose produces 2100kg equivalance of carbon dioxide emissions per annum, on that basis one American = 13 moose. There's 150,000 moose in Norway, their total combined emissions being the equivalent of just 16,150 American citizens. So yes, they contribute to global warming but the contribution is a tiny part of the fuller picture.

The last part is true, the earth cycles climates around cooler to mild to hot. It has been proven by scientist.

The Global warming thingy is just put on us to buy more vehicles and save our extra money for taxes. While we are trying to save a buck, the Prez and all the big wheels in DC are driving around in parades of Stretched Hummer Limo's with 30" wheels pimping the First Lady, Rollin down Wall Street Sippin on Gin and Juice, Laid Back with His mind on OUR money and OUR money on HIS mind....
We need to tie a chain to the back bumper of a truck and the other end around George's leg and give him a proper send off out of Washington...
