I would usually recommend waiting until the pups are weaned at the very least, but 10-12 weeks is probably best.
Normally I'd recommend spaying a b!tch three months post season as this is normally the mid point. If she still has milk or comes back into season you will need to wait. Make sure if she does have another season that she has no contact with any entire male dogs.
The best thing to do is to speak to your vet and find out their recommendations. You should also take the pups in for a check up and weighing at 2 weeks as they will need worming medications. This is particularly important as the mother will not have had the correct worming regime for a pregnant mother if you didn't know she was due. Finally, make sure she is being fed a puppy food as this will contain the nutrients she needs to feed them properly and will reduce the risk of her having nutritional problems. These are all things you need to discuss with your vet.
In short, talk to your vet and get their advice. Anyone can write anything on here so you should trust the vets advice over anything here.

first I would call the vet and see what they say but you do have somdetime
a dog comes into heat an average of every 6 months she carries just over 2 ( 63 days (average)) and the pups should be weaned at 8 weeks but for safety I'll say 10 because some may take longer. give her about 2-3 weeks after totally being seperated from teh pups and then get her spayed so I would say when the pups are 12-13 weeks old.
teh important thing is that seh be allowed to dry up and that means that she has to be totally seperated from teh pups for atleast 2 weeks.
Start weaning at 4 weeks

I was told by my vet that once the puppies are weaned and to wait for the middle of her cycle when there are less hormones, the best thing you can do is wean the pups then talk to your vet they will be able to tell you the best time.

Need to wait until after the pups are weaned and her milk has completely dried up. Usually about a month after weaning is okay.

id wait til the puppys have been weened and left home,as i had mine done the same time as the caeserean and she wasnt a good mum,i had to keep putting the pupys on her to attach for milk but she wasnt comfortable with that,id hold them til they had their fill,by the end of of 10days i was very tired but the mum dog got alittle better at mothering.your making the right choice to not have anymore puppys.if you dont have homes for these ones, you can contact shelters as they will help you place them, they may even help, with discounted desexing, there a few places that can advise you on this situation,of unplanned puppys and after care etc..lots of luck.

You should wait until four weeks after she dries up to give the mammary swelling time to go down. It keeps the incision site cleaner and the incision smaller.

8 weeks from delivery. As soon as the pups are weaned, she's good to go. I'm glad you decided to have her fixed after all, you're doing her a huge favor.
