I have bouts of dizziness which is caused by my inner ear being off balanced. There are other reasons a person could be dizzy. High blood pressure is one reason. Consult a doctor to find out why you are dizzy.

Dizziness are usually caused by middle ear infections or build-up of wax or fluid in the middle ear, meniere's disease or BPV or benign positional vertigo. In the latter, it;'s changing position from lying to standing up or turning one's head rapidly. The etiology here lies in the labyrinth which has the equilibrium and balance mechanism. It's also related to hearing loss.
It might be also caused by allergies and reaction from foods and medications. Recently, I have been experiencing severe headaches and dizziness. I have been expeimenting on cutting back on some of my meds and tracking which one is the culprit. I went to a forum and from the many comments, my suspicions were confirmed. Lisonopril does cause dizziness even after years of taking it for the control of my hypertension.
Another reason to consider- dizziness might also be caused by iron deficiency anemia, low blood pressure, high blood pressure, hypoglycemia; skipped meals esp while dieting.
Foods containing tyramine (red wine, aged cheese, smoked fish, chicken livers, figs, and some beans), monosodium glutamate (MSG), or nitrates (like bacon, hot dogs, and salami)
Other foods such as chocolate, nuts, peanut butter, avocado, banana, citrus, onions, dairy products, and fermented or pickled foods
