It is as simple as this: either you are good or bad. Either you envy others or love them. Faith is freedom from all obsessions obeying two simple rules 1. Love everybody 2. Love God. There are no flying horses or Santa Claus. You either get the smile of your neighbors or make them cry. Being good person and making right decisions is very difficult in the world we are living. Stop idolizing people; we are all equal, believers or non-believers, kings or beggars. We are mostly wrong anyway. There is no man on the world whose sole is pure or who is better than the others. We all deserve the chance and we are living it to prove what we are to our self and to others and whether we will join the light or darkness it depends on if we are simply positive or negative. Giving ten bucks to charity doesn’t make us positive if we are not truly positive in everything we do. Preaching to people about hell will force them to Church because of fear not because they are full of love.

Everybody feels what’s right and what’s wrong it is just the matter if you listen to this voice or not. We are ignoring it mostly for the sake of “better” living. What good does the golden watch brings us if we earned it by making harm to others. What is the point of having 6 billion when even their grandchildren can live with the silver spoon in the moth with only two and the rest of the world is starving at the moment? We are all full of rubbish and therefore the world is coming to an end. You don’t have an idea how close we came to an end. One push of a button by a drunken sailor and certainly not by the will of God. We are wracking the climates and leaving horrible future to our own kids, what kind of persons are we? We are left to chose our destiny and now think if you believe in love (God) or pride and prejudice.

Certainly I did bad things and I’m still doing them for sure. Like I said we are all sinful but my perception of God is not that He is jealous or punisher. The commandments He gave us are made for our own good. Some rules may not have sense to us in the modern world like the one with sex before marriage but after thinking about three thirds of the world who still do not know contraception it makes a lot of sense. For instance you pump up the woman who is not your wife and later you don’t trust the child is yours and you “ruin” two lives and cause pain to the women and child. And about sacrifice; didn’t Christ give us example that love is our offering and that we should not gave it up even for the price of life. We are to sacrifice our own greed and foolish pride and things like that and that is not easy to sacrifice. I did not say that some people are simply evil and other good; in a contrary I said that there are no people purely good or evil.

The choice is ours and we should not wait for the material miracles or story about hell to make us start believing. I apologize for not quoting exact words from the Bible in the question but you get the point. Our God is God of love and forgiveness and He is forgiving if you really repent. It’s like when your friend does something bad to you and he cries and repents, would you not forgive him. Faith is sweet freedom of soul from the misery of false obsessions and evil is tricking us with these obsessions, making us want the things we don’t need

Well, where should we start?

How do you define good and bad without an objective standard? You can't it would all be subjective. That is why God gave us the law through Moses.

As for your two simple rules, they are true. They sum up the ten commandments in short form.

As for the rest of your deal. You accept sin, but you don't deal with atonement for those sins. I think that this comes from your misconception of God. You list God as love. God is much more than that. God is also just, merciful, compassionate, jealous, and most of all Holy.

God is just. He demands a payment for sin. Before Christ, the payments were made with sacrifice at the temple. After Christ it was done. Christ was the sacrifice.

As for telling people that if they don't beleive that they are going to hell. It is true.

The Bible tells us that the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And we should fear the Lord.

Read the Old Testament and see the wrath of God that goes along with his love and long suffering.

I am an atheist and everywhere I go, people are always generous and kind, in my country and others I visit. I see people with enormous passion fighting for social justice and the environment. I realise there are many self centred individuals but the reward is small, perhaps large financially but so small for ones dignity and contentment. I know everyone is equal and we all deserve equal rights, those who get it easier with no discrimination and with more wealth than they need, have a duty to assist those you do not. This altruism is innate in most of us and helps us sleep better at night. I agree with a lot of what you say, it isn't complex to live a life with empathy and integrity, no reward is required other than a goods night sleep.

So are you honestly saying that you have never done anything bad, or had a bad... or selfish thought?

Everyone is capable of doing good, and everyone is capable of doing bad. Your black and white description of people is not based on reality. People are humans who do both good and bad... We all sin. That is why God sent Jesus to show us the way to eternal life, and to serve as the perfect sacrifice, paying the debt for our bad deeds.

People contemplate religion, because they through their sinful actions have become so separated from God... and they are searching for something to fill the void. But only a relationship with Jesus, our Lord and Savior can truly satisfy.

I will say a prayer for you. God bless!

If those two rules were so simple you would not have screwed them up in your post. Loving God completely was first and most people have no clue how to do that. Being reconciled to God is a ministry of The Holy Spirit and most people have no clue who The Holy Spirit is. It is not just loving everybody, it is loving everybody equally to ourselves.

Sorry, we are not all equal. Most wish it were true, but...so goes life. Some folks are able to use a lot more brain cells than I and some can't. Some folks are much better looking than I and some aren't. Some were born rich, others were not. The list of differences are endless. The fact is we are not equal and thank goodness for that.

Religion is a matter of success in this world and the eternal life. So that should be on the right way. So the complication is just finding the truth from false. While religion of God Almighty is easy and applicable for all. We need to differentiate the truth from false.

Please read your question again and again till you are clear in you head as to what is it you want to say or convey.Let details or peripherals not obscure the core-issue.Fundamentally there is nothing seriously wrong with people, life ,social structures, earth and environment,Each generation has to face problems and issues, some get resolved and others get carried forward to next generation.Traditionally, religions have been great sources of relief, consolation and hope to humans but have now begun to loose their effectiveness for the reasons beyond their control. For this era, named rightly so as 'knowledge-age',humans have to work hard and find solutions from sources hitherto unknown so far, and FIND THEY WILL.Like always, there is a HOPE and HOPE we should.

I agree with you. I am not religious though but I'm a good person and I think that is what really matters. ** No people arent 100% good but so what? You can be good in general or bad in general. One outweighs the other and if you are a generally good person who really cares if you had sex before marriage or something like that

2Cr 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
