recently i have caught nits from i think is my girlfriend. she is 19 and been scratching her hair and im sure i can see eggs in it. i don't know what to say to her and how to tell her as i don't know how she will react. i love her to peices but don't want to hurt her feelings. what shall i do?

Are you sure you didn't give her nits instead. Why don't you buy the lice products and treat her as well. Just tell her that you have come across a few people you think might have nits and you want to treat yourself and her as well, so she wont get them.

Do the whole thing in reverse. Say that you have picked them up somewhere (from work perhaps) and may have given them to her. Check her hair together and then go and sort out the problem together. A little white lie won't hurt and it will save any embarrassment.
If she loves you she's forgive you - probably want you to change your job!!

Tell her that you`ve got nits and that she should get checked out quickly as she may have caught them from you!
That way you don`t blame her and you`ll look like you`re just looking out for her.

Don't hang about just waiting for the problem to go away , speak to her about it !!
If you have been close to animals blame them !!! but this can be treated very easily with a visit to local chemist for the relevant soap treatment

easy tell her youve got them , you dont know where you got them from and she needs to check her hair. its not the worst thing in the world just go chemist or supermarket and get full mark and a nit comb takes all of ten mins to do!!

If you want to keep her you should blame yourself & then say
"Honey i think i gave you NITS you had better treat them & wash all your bedding etc " hahah
Its the only way mate or else she will dump you lol hahah

Seriously though, apparently nits only like clean hair and scalps....it may be embarrasing but you've got to tell her...hurt feelings or not. She'll be devastated if you allow someone else to discover them and she'll be even more annoyed if she finds out you knew before.
She's your bird for gawd's sake.....just tell her!!

nits can be found in clean or dirty hair for those that dont know nothing to do with hygiene-be diplomatic and just tell her without being insensitive of course

First, make sure that is what you actually have. Use the shampoo and if the itching goes away, you will know. Or go to the doctor to confirm. I knew a guy who was so nervous about dating, he thought his girlfriend gave him fleas from her cat. He told her and she thought he was really weird.

Be honest- tell her straight. The longer you put it off the harder it will be to tell her and also if you get rid your nits and don't tell her about hers you might catch them again.
