New Zealand, supposedly the perfect version of what England could be!

I have read that out of all Europe, the Germans are the most similar to the English: in the way that they do business, and socialise. However, I have never been to Germany, so I cannot agree or disagree (although the people seem nice.)
I like the Scandanavian way of life; love Paris (for the ambience and style) and Liechtenstein, for the tranquility - it's similar to Switzerland. But I don't know if I could move permanently. Housing prices and the rise of the nanny-state are ridiculous but there are some things that really make living in this country worthwhile: such as the 'dry' humour, our country's fascinating history, our resilience after the July 7th bombings, all the different regions and in turn their diverse landscapes, such as the Lake District to the major cities.

First that comes to mind is Switzerland, the land of money and chocolate. But, then with their mandatory military service for their citizens and subsequent lifelong reserve service, nah I've done my time. japan would be cool, but well it's waaaay too crowded. a deluxe, expensive apartment is what us spoiled Americans would label a decent sized bedroom. Maybe Italy, but Rome was beautiful, and impressive historically, but old and well, dirty. France would be nice [heh, Nice would be very nice :P], same historical reasons, but they really do hate us Americans for some reason. So, nah, I will just stay here, in the US, where I can do and say anything I want at any time, well as long as I don't harm anyone else or their property. It isn't just about location and scenery, which by the way we have tons of here, it's truly about my freedom to say that the government sucks and is an entity governed by majority rule, even if the majority of the politicians in it are idiots. See, I said it and no Gestapo or other secret police type people are going to come whisk me away in the middle of the night. Cool, ain't it?

Mozambique sounds nice, problem could be the lingo, for Frenches don´t like English.
Reason - not as civilised as EU. Civilisation is good for bureaucrats...
Luckily, the country I am in right now is better. For there is so many things to improve before we mess it all up, like the rest of civilised Europe.

I would choose Cambodia. Mostly because there are areas where there is little or no law at all and anyone that can get in god with the local "authorities" can pretty much do what ever they want, at least according to someone I know there. It would give me the opportunity to indulge certiain."hobbies" of mine without anyone to interfere.

America is my country, my home, I love her and it saddens me to see what's happening to her. Greed, selfishness and lack of common sense have all but disappeared. Let's hope and pray in 2008 (election) will be a new beginning for our country. Thank you for asking this very important question.

Greece, Italy, Germany or the Netherlands!
People work hard, get much more vacation time than the US and don't have as many social issues, even meeting people! Warmer and friendlier! And they don't try and screw you business wise!
