I like it just as it is.... although I was just thinking a few moments ago that perhaps religions and spirituality could be two parts of the same place ... but you can go to one or the other if you wished
so R&S but slightly seperated

Atheists dont need their own "atheistic" section, because there is nothing to talk about regarding an atheistic view.
See, an atheist simply does not believe there is a god. thats about it. There is no dicsussion, its a simple clear statement: there is no god.
Atheists like to discuss this topic with theist, not with fellow atheists.
And even if there would be an extra section, believers wou;d go over there and asked the same they ask in here. Would be just spread out, thats all it would do.
Believers try to convince non believers and vice versa.
So one category is fine, its the same topic anyway.

It's best the way it is and we are included here-- we fall under the "Spirituality" factor.
We're all here to discuss opinions on the two, it would be a shame if we split and lots the diversity.
Not to mention, what about people like me that fall under more than one category?

Christians would feel it was their duty to come into the atheist section to "save" everyone. So it would be basically the same.

I'd still come here as I am attempting to find common ground with those that I disagree with... plus sometimes I like to piss people off.

Would it please you if we all left? honestly? Sometimes we get far to serious on these forums and I'm sorry if we do, but maybe it gives us a better understanding of each other. Acceptance is key.

It's just fine the way it is. It irritates the theists no end.
Besides, if theists would stop trying to insinuate their, um, platform into our government, we wouldn't care at all. It's up to you to change to make us go away.

No. If we want to be taken seriously as a RELIGION then we are right where we need to be. And we ARE a real religion.
