How do you deal with someone who asks for your help and/or advice and then when you do and they misunderstand you find yourself falling all over yourself and tripping over words to clean it up?
I answered a question on answers and the person emailed me asking me for more advice. Thast cool I have nothing to do and generally a nice person and good listener. Only problem is, although their question seemed angled toward a specific problem, the underlying problem was racism.
They misunderstood my email because I answered one of their statements in my reply email but I didnt say which one I just answered and they blew it out of proportion basically saying I'm defending a specific race. I tried to tell them that they were misunderstanding and apologize although I did nothing wrong.
Then they email me insulting my writing skills and such just to get under my skin I guess. It didnt really bother me. Did I do something wrong? Should I feel bad?
