I think the debate between climate change being a natural or man-made issue is a very valid one and something that we need to address. However, having looked into the research regarding global warming, I am a strong believer that it is caused by humans.

Some types of atmospheric pollution contribute to global warming, some don’t and others contribute to global cooling.

The types that contribute to warming are the gases often referred to as ‘greenhouse gases’. Typically carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and in small amounts 100 or more others as well.

These molecular gases impede the escape of thermal radiation from the planet, effectively acting as an insulating layer and trapping heat within the atmosphere.

The planet has a natural greenhouse effect caused by naturally occurring greenhouse gases, without which Earth would be a dead planet as it would be 33°C colder than it is and life wouldn’t have evolved.

There’s far more to it than that but that’s the gist of it. Post another question if you’d like further info.

I'm sure there are people who don't believe that pollution (massive C02 emissions in this case) isn't causing climate change; however, those people aren't scientist, so they don't really count.

There is little doubt in the scientific world that we are responsible for our changing climate, I've yet to see a rationale counter-argument to this claim.

Some like it hot...

Man's contribution is minimal at best. Twenty-five years ago, all the scientists were warning of a new ice age.

No. I don't think so. I think people are very much causing it.
