They don't want to be.
Family isn't important any more with no good future to look forward to thanks to evil politicians and greedy business people.

Good question! In my opinion and having my own not wanting to get in to this emotional quagmire as they call it!! I can just about list many reasons-
These young people have realized that there is a lot more to marriage than just 'fall in love and live happily ever after' they did not grow up wit Barbara Cartland and Denise Robbins stories or fairy tales that baby boomers were brought up on-
Another reason is that those who opted for more education than just High school, put their education to further use by taking up careers that demand years to get perfected- And they hardly have any social life , so to speak- and soon the age passes them by!! Many have seen their own parents marriages fail, divorces, broken homes, the financial responsibility of educating & upkeep of children, and the most important one I think is commitment to one person
Marriage is a 2 way street, today each one has his own interest at heart and cannot tolerate intrusion- call it a mind set or selfishness, no one really wants to submit to another's whims and fancies, and the usual saying 'when you want milk why buy a cow?
Many have come to an understanding that they are better off , having a relationship and if things don't work out , just move on- whereas in marriage there is a lot of legal stuff involved - I also feel that after a certain age one looks for a lot of security and those who themselves are doing well feel they do not need to share their bounty with another who may sponge on them by hitching up!
No one wants to take a chance !

Maybe they haven't found the right person or just prefer being single. Marriage is a serious commitment, some aren't ready for that. A lot of people these days prefer their independence and would rather focus on their career and personal enrichment than trying to work on a relationship.

I will speak for myself for that question......I didnt get married yet because of the pain I have been through in my past relationship and it caused me a lot to be more aware,picky and careful this time...its easy to find someone but difficult to find the right one for a lifetime commitment.

Why does everyone have to be married.... It seems like in today society that if your not married your a freak or your seriously disturbed.... Not everyone wants to get married.... Some people just want to be alone....

some people have bad name
some people want so much for their drowry
some people have so many conditions
some people feel marriige is a big tornament
some people think it is a big responsibilty
some delay it to some time and then..............
people now a days find the fun of marrige without getting married by illegal realationships........so they do not think of marrige..........

the reason i am not marring anyone is cheating. i can not stand how there are so many cheaters. also, the whole ownership over one another.
maybe i am paranoid based on relationships i have seen and heard of.. but its insane. and who wants to get married. you can have everything without the title of marraige.

it could be that they have not yet found their life long partners... or they rather get used to being single moms,,, or they don't have the guts to tell their partners of the big commitment... so what's ur reason y until now u're not married???
