The vaccum of space is something. Space has matter, it has cosmic radiation background (remnants of the big bang)

Basically what I'm asking is, how could the universe have came from nothing. If it is infinately old, why not a creator that is infinately old.

to me it seems like "nothingness" and "god" are two sides of the same coin. there is no positive empirical evidence for either of them, just gaps in natural knowledge that may be filled in due time or not, i don't know. in the present i see no reason to worry about it.
"I'm arguing for, not against the possibillity of a creator."
is that what you're doing, really? typically an argument consists of evidence, reasoned interpretation of evidence, or some effort to persuade to a particular point of view. i don't see how you're doing any of that, you're just playing with words.

Nothingness is when there is no matter in a given amount of space. It's also known as a vacuum and it sucks all the matter around it to fill it.
It's simply the absence of things and the universe naturally tries its best to prevent it.

No, it is a void or an emptiness. If you have ever lost someone you love, you will understand nothingness, because where that person used to exist, there is just nothingness. After my father died I would look into his recliner, nothing was there, I would look into his bed, nothing was there. I would look into my mothers eyes, and I could see the void and emptiness. Sorry I don't have a scientific explanation for you. Alls I know is that John described God by saying God is love. My theory is if you choose not to believe in love, then what do you believe in? You don't have to believe in the atrocities religion has brought about, you have to believe in goodness and kindness, and caring for one another, because that is love, and love is God. :-)

A vaccum. Vaccums man made aren't vaccums, because there is still light and photons in there bouncing around, empty space, is a true vaccum

I've been trying to comprehend the atheists claim that when we die we won't exist. I just can't imagine not existing. And to me non-existance is illogical for this reason. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed so if our thoughts are pulses of energy through the brain where does that energy go? it isn't destroyed so where does it go?

Nothingness cannot be comprehended. The moment it is given deffinition is becomes something therefore it is no longer nothingness.

Nothing is something. If there was nothing, then nothing would be the something that exists.
Therefore it is a logical necessity that something exists. If something exists it must have a cause. That cause is God.
