The dew claw pads usually aren't that dry and cracked since the dog doesn't walk on them. You can buy Protect-A-Pad cream at Petco or Petsmart.

I have a Pyr, so I know dew claws. I have never seen overly dry dew claw pads. Try some moisturizer, if you think you must. Just keep those nails trimmed! with all that hair, the nails can overgrow before you notice and then it is difficult to trim them when they get very long.

If your puppy is young enough you might consider having the dew claws removed altogether. If your Pyranees will be used for protecting livestock like they were bred for it would behoove you to have it done. Outside the dew claws can become entangled in any number of things and could injure them. IMO it is best to have them removed. Even if it will only be a family pet. But if you don't want to any of the above suggestions will work.

Pads are supposed to be dry. They are callouses and need to be dry and hard.
If you are really worried put some olive oil on it, but not lotion or it may get irritated.
I wouldn't be too worried though. Pads are really thick and durable. Much thicker than human heels.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/gHn00
If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.
It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

the pads will crack if they are in use. if they are not moving around they will be soft and smooth, but dry and some cracks or ok. as long as it isn't a deep into the flesh, which then it is an injury your ok.

You can use Udder Balm or Bag Balm,or even Vaseline on his pads. Also, try adding a 1000 mg. salmon oil softgel to his food twice a day,and give him a cooked egg three times a week. This will supply extra fatty acids to help soften his skin.
