Is it as dangerous as lithium when you are dehydrated? I was on lithium but I get the shakes so bad when I get too dehydrated and my job is in the heat and its difficult to stay hydrated all the time.

I take 15mg of Abilify a day and haven't noticed any side effects and I don't drink much water. Lithium is a salt, so it tends to screw with your body more, even though it's a natural substance. It'd be a good idea to ask your doctor or a pharmacist, though.

I do not take it but have recencetly heard of it and also wonder how others are doing on it. (FiVe I just emailed you that question :)

I DID NOT do well on Lithiun at all, I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest...raised my BP like crazy. If you do try it I hope it works well for you. You have to go by what your Doc says but I am personally leaning towards trying Abilify and I would NEVER take Lithium again.

I'm thinking Abilify may be the one responsible for my overheating quickly.

Check it out with the pharmacist.
You realize you're asking about a medication with a cost of $400+ each month? For most insurance companies, and most of our budgets, Abilify is a drug of last resort.
