What a great opener for all those cute waitresses who work at Chili's. I'll have to use that one next time I eat their Fajitas. But, I really have no idea because I definitely like my chili super hot.

I think it's because the word "chili" comes from the latin language. "chili" means like spicy, or pepper.

it's not an american word, so it doesn't mean "cold"- it's spanish! its the name of the pepper used to spice it up.
